ADHD

What is ADHD from an energy perspective, why has it become so much more prevalent and diagnosed and such a problem for so many people

OK, we would like you to think about the flow of long hair. Long hair naturally hangs down or sits in the position that it naturally falls. It moves in the breeze when it is not pulled back into a hair tie or a clip or under a hat.

Think of your energy as hair in this instance.

When the hair is not manipulated, it flows freely in movement or with a breeze.

Your energy & thoughts are the same. When lives were simpler with less interaction and less influence and more connection with nature, the mind and energy were far more free flowing like loose hair in the breeze.

The ability to have space to think without opinions, other peoples perspectives, and surrounding influences other than those of nature, allowed for the mind to flow and adjust according to what it needed or what felt best. Young children often enjoy that space and opportunity to daydream, when not always in front of a screen.

Nowadays, free flowing thinkers are influenced to be corralled back into the expectations of society, the structured belief systems that have become stronger and more rigid over time through fear, control and influence. It’s become so subtle and so ingrained in our lifestyles we haven’t even noticed it consciously.

Now think of that wisp of hair or wayward curl that keeps getting pulled back into a clip of ponytail, but never actually wants to stay there, it just wants to sit exactly where it feels most natural for it to sit. That is a bit like the wayward ADHD diagnosed person whose thinking doesn’t conform. There is this constant need or desire to ‘bring them or bring yourself back into line, into the standard way of thinking and behaving’ which has been decreed as right by school systems or societal norms.

The redirection, control and influence of thought and focus for humans is huge by large corporations, governments and bodies of influence particularly social media, to continually corral your thoughts into their belief structure, their set of expectations or what they are trying to sell you.

If left to nature, without all of the bombardment of information in the current age of technology, our minds crave and need the ability to free flow our thoughts. Some humans require this more than others. Some are more easily influences than others. The resistance towards our thoughts being over-ridden by others is real and mostly at a very subconscious level.

The ability to be aware of this and to create space in your day and week to allow free flow of thought, rather than planning, listening to something or scrolling is limited for many. So many pressures, demands, social engagements, other people with problems who need support, you name it, there is little of no time for free flowing thought. Even in meditation there is a greater influence of listening to something guided or positive affirmations. There is often no space for free, loose, undirected thinking and energy flow.

And so therefore the continual refocussing or corralling of our thoughts back onto a thought flow directed by an external source will bring about a resistance in our energy that says NO, I will not conform, I reject your direction and I will go off track in whichever way I can to feel that feeling of release and freedom of thought flow.

Take time out for allow for that feeling of freedom in your thought flow. Don’t be fearful of what you might think. Allow yourself to observe, have a discussion in your mind. You’re not crazy connecting with your thoughts. You’re allowing some space to loosen up your thinking, to feel intuitively into what you know, to let your ‘hair fly free’ in the breeze and see where it takes you.

Once you gradually give space to the fearful, influenced thoughts, they will dissipate and under those thoughts the real you, the unconditionally loving you, the powerful, intuitive you will emerge.

Try it ❤️
